MEET PEEPLES CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES

    Since I began working as a Business Owner in 2022, I’ve spent a lot of time identifying the needs of the community and the areas where I can provide service. More than half (54%) of people identifying as transgender or non-binary experienced some form of domestic violence, including acts of coercive control or physical harm. On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men. Over 27.6 million reported global human trafficking cases in 2021. By providing the 1WAY App, the goal is to decrease these statistics by at least 10%.

    Furthermore, there is a need to decrease gun violence amongst children across the world. Gun deaths among U.S. children rose 50% from 2019 to 2021. The goal is to host basketball tournaments within communities to form a more positive competitive fun environment amongst different groups of children creating cohesiveness within communities.
